Does your organization work to impact public policy in Texas? If so, it’s important to know that in addition to state laws mandating lobbyist registration for certain individuals who advocate for policy change on the state level, many cities have their own rules regarding when individuals and organizations are required to register as lobbyists and report their local lobbying activities. Alliance for Justice’s Texas office recently expanded its local advocacy resources to include two new factsheets covering the rules for San Antonio and Corpus Christi. You can check them out using the links below.

In addition, we just updated our factsheet regarding lobbyist registration in the city of Dallas, and we offer local-level resources for the cities of El Paso and Houston. These factsheets are some of the latest additions to Bolder Advocacy’s extensive library of state and local law resources. If you have questions regarding the rules for your state or local municipality, please contact our FREE technical assistance hotline at advocacy@afj.org or 866-675-6229.
